ASPIRE TO BE
Kappa Kappa Gamma is one of the largest fraternities for women in the nation. Currently, there are chapters in both the United States and Canada. The most recent chapter brought the total number of Kappa Kappa Gamma chapters at higher learning institutions to a total of 140. There are also 300+ alumnae associations around the world. Since its founding in 1870, more than 240,000 members have been initiated into Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Sigma Chapter was one of the first houses established at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, therefore eventually becoming a national landmark. The Sigma Chapter house holds space for 66 women to live. While the house provides a place to live, it also means so much more than just a mere living space to its members. As a house we value scholarship, friendship and leadership. While living in the house you create life-long friendships, memories, and a permanent connection to Kappa. Our chapter motto is "Aspire to Be", which leaves you with many opportunities. It is not uncommon for women to describe their experience living at Kappa as the best time of their lives. This is Kappa. This is Home.
