We are proud to announce the featured authors for 2018:
Christina Baker Kline is the author of seven novels, including Orphan Train, which spent more than two years on the New York Times bestseller list. Her most recent novel, A Piece of the World (2017), was an instant New York Times bestseller. More than 100 communities and colleges have chosen Orphan Train as a “One Book, One Read” selection and a young reader’s adaptation by Christina entitled Orphan Train Girl was recently released. Christina was born in Cambridge, England, and raised there as well as in the American South and Maine. She is a graduate of Yale, Cambridge, and the University of Virginia and has taught at several universities throughout the United States. Christina lives in an old house in Montclair, New Jersey, with her husband and three sons. She spends as much time as possible in an even older house in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
Kristy Woodson Harvey is the national bestselling author of three novels, most recently the Peachtree Bluff Series, beginning with Slightly South of Simple (2017). Her first novel, Dear Carolina, was long-listed for the Pat Conroy Southern Book Prize and has been optioned for film. In addition to writing novels, Kristy blogs with her mom, Beth Woodson, daily on Design Chic, the inaugural member of Traditional Home’s design blogger hall of fame, about how creating a beautiful home can be the catalyst for creating a beautiful life. She also contributes to a number of national publications. Kristy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and East Carolina University. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and son where she is working on her next novel, The Secret to Southern Charm to be released in Spring 2018.
Kim Wright is the author of several novels, including Love in Mid Air, The Unexpected Waltz, and The Canterbury Sisters. Her most recent novel, Last Ride to Graceland, was awarded the William Morris Award for Southern Fiction. She also has independently published the City of Mystery series. A two-time winner of the Lowell Thomas Award for travel writing, she has been writing about travel, food, and wine for more than twenty years for magazines such as Wine Spectator, Self, Travel & Leisure, and Vogue. She also ballroom dances competitively. Kim grew up in a small town in North Carolina, graduated from the University of Virginia, and now lives in Charlotte, NC.
